Our Junior School students celebrated the joy of reading in our annual Book Character Parade.
It was a book fun event, in which we had characters from well-loved Uruguayan stories such as El Sapo Ruperto, Un cuento de papel and Anina Yatay Salas, as well as classics such as the One Thousand and One Nights, The Little Prince and Little Red Riding Hood. There were plenty of Harry Potters, but also more recent hits such as Captain Underpants and Dogman. Fantasy characters such as Winnie the Witch walked cheerfully side-by-side with almost-real Frida Kahlo and Lionel Messi. All in all, a most enjoyable and happy morning.
Our students, their teachers and their families engaged with reading with great enthusiasm and showed real loving care in their costume preparations. Thank you!
