Grade 6 students learned about Frida Kahlo’s work during Women’s Month.
They observed the paintings based on Kahlo’s life and how objects and images were used to tell a story or express feelings, and to represent her loved ones.
Learning about symbolism and surrealism, Grade 6D students thought about their lives, choosing symbols, objects and colours in order to create their unique self-portraits.
