Inspired by two books from our Woodlands library, Big Appetites and Global Model Village, Grade 6D constructed in situsculptures.

Students were asked to walk around the school and find nooks and crannies where they could insert an object or character. Using the natural or built space, they had to imagine what situation could arise in that particular space.
Then, using plasticine, students created mini people, objects and animals, and photographed them in the chosen space. We enjoyed playing with the juxtaposition between the ‘real’ and imagined worlds.
