In Grade 5 we have been working in groups in order to learn about how to write and answer deep questions.
Deep questions are the opposite of simple questions.
You cannot answer them with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’. You need to know about the topic and dedicate time to answer them. It is important to find evidence as deep questions ignite curiosity. At the end, you have to make your own conclusion based on the evidence found.
We chose to write deep questions about sports as we were talking about this topic.
